La Raza: Immigrants Raise their voices(million return!)

This is a maddening article. Demands, boycotts... At least some of the politicans are calling for offering respect to the US of A, before making demands. Not Elvira...

The Institute of Mexicans Abroad, an agency of Mexico’s Foreign Ministry, a few days ago estimated that the number of people deported from the United States to Mexico will be a million.

    Immigrants Raise Their Voices

Immigrant associations in the US and Mexican legislators gathered together to draw up strategies, in view of actions Washington is taking against illegal immigration, and to demand that Mexico’s government take action on the matter.

The First Parliament of Mexican Migrant Leaders who live in the US, held in the Legislative Palace in Mexico City, drew 563 representatives. Activist Elvira Arellano took part in one of the closing events.

The aim of this novel meeting was to form an autonomous organization to push for actions to resolve the main problems that beset Mexicans living in the United States.

Thank you for the post fedupinwaukegan.

I believe it is a follow-up of a previous discussion 'Migrant leaders agree to create a parliament in the U.S.' although the parliment portion isn't played up in your post. I am collecting names and locations of those from the U.S. who participated and your article included new names.

It would be good if a program like Heifer.org could qualify for Tres por Uno.

For the sake of both countries let us hope it is Zepeda de Aprodi who ultimately gets listened to instead of Elvira. She sounds like a frast would be a good break from huffing her own hot air.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
