MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) - It's six years in prison for a 23-year-old man after taking a plea deal for his part in a marijuana growing operation near Applegate.

Jose Guadalupe Gomez-Gonzalez is 1 of 4 men arrested last summer during a raid.

The sentence was handed down yesterday in U.S. District Court in Medford.

He was convicted of conspiracy to manufacture marijuana and being an illegal immigrant in possession of a firearm.

Authorities say he will be deported after serving his sentence.
