ACTION ITEM: ALL of us must forward this information to our Senators stating something to the effect that you want to make them aware of the nefarious means that pro-illegal alien ethnocentric groups will go to to promote their agenda.

    INVASION USA
Deceptive La Raza campaign targets Senate
Call plan lets Spanish-speakers lobby Washington on immigration

A campaign has been set up by a group including La Raza, an organization that advocates for a Mexican takeover of parts of southwestern United States, letting Spanish-speaking people lobby the U.S. Senate directly, even coaching them what English words to use.

And it deceives congressional offices, with a high-tech process that strips away the 800 number people actually call, and forwards to Washington the callers' home numbers, leaving the impression the multitude of calls are not part of an organized effort, WND has learned.

The actual program is being run by the Coalition for Comprehensive Immigration Reform, which calls itself "a campaign … to achieve passage of workable comprehensive immigration reform legislation that serves our nation," and includes the National Council of La Raza as a supporting member.

As WND reported earlier, La Raza was condemned last year by Rep. Charles Norwood, R-Ga., as a radical "pro-illegal immigration lobbying organization that supports racist groups calling for the secession of the western United States as a Hispanic-only homeland."

Norwood has called on La Raza to renounce its support of the Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan – which sees "The Race" as part of an ethnic group that one day will reclaim Aztlan, the mythical birthplace of the Aztecs. In Chicano folklore, Aztlan includes California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and parts of Colorado and Texas.

The new campaign web pages trumpet: "NATIONAL CALL-IN DAYS FOR COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM."

"Your Senators need to hear your voice urging them to support reform! Support family unity and protecting (sic) our workers. It is ok to call more than once per individual," the promotion continues in its English version.

Comprehensive immigration reform is the solution to fixing our broken immigration system, and now is the time to act. Families, workers, and communities across the country are counting on Congress to get it done, get it right, and do it now. You can help make it happen with your call – join the effort!"

Callers' telephone numbers are identified by the CCIR, and they are given a choice of contacting either senator from the state they are calling from. "Tell your senator you won't accept any excuses if they fail to act," callers are told.

Callers then are forwarded to their choice of senators, through the CCIR program which conceals the fact that the calls are part of an organized effort by displaying the caller's original number on Caller ID functions in the Senate offices.

For those who don't speak English, the same service is offered in Spanish.

"Llame a este número y siga las instrucciones para conectarse a las oficinas de sus congresistas: 1-800-882-2005," the web page instructs. "DÃ*gale a cada uno de sus Senadores que: ¡ACTUE AHORA A FAVOR DE LA REFORMA MIGRATORIA!"

The call even coaches Spanish-speaking callers how to pronounce the following English words when they are connected to the Senate offices: "Support immigration reform that protects families and workers."

Ira Mehlman, whose group the Federation for American Immigration Reform endorses limits on immigration, told WND that the telephone call promotion is part of the publicity campaign being assembled by "the whole illegal alien advocacy network."

"The answer is not to extend quotas to accommodate everyone here, as the president wants to do," he said. "The reason we have limits on immigration in the first place is that we recognize, or ought to recognize that illegal immigration has an impact on everyone."

Immigration changes that simply change the classification of an illegal alien into a legal worker or other term may solve the legal technicalities, but leaves all the other impact problems – on schools, social services and the like – still there to deal with, he said.

He called the campaign "a byproduct of our out-of-control immigration system."

Tara Hendershott, the deputy press secretary for Sen. Wayne Allard, R-Colo., told WND that the office has been getting calls from "individual constituents" regarding the immigration debate. But she was surprised that the programming allows the caller to contact an 800 number and be forwarded to a Senate office and still reflect the original number on Caller ID.

She said Allard does review reports on callers, as well as letters and e-mails. But she said he makes his decisions primarily on what he hears when he visits constituents in Colorado to discuss issues.

A WND reader heard a promotion about the call-in numbers on a radio program.

"These numbers should be … given out to everyone so we can call on those numbers and invalidate them for just illegals," the reader said.

CCIR on its website also offers the option of sending form e-mails to members of Congress.

"Fair and just immigration reform is needed…," the letter says. "We must renew and embrace the fundamental rights upon which this great nation was built: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. As you ponder the fate of millions, I stress the need for you to include the following…"

Then it lists a path for legal status for anyone "already leading a productive life in the United States of America," a process that is expedited for "cases that involve parents of small children," and protections for migrant workers.

Another group, called You Don't Speak for Me, however, said the provisions of the pending plan to address the estimated 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens within the United States are wrong.

"We are Americans of Hispanic heritage who believe in America. We believe in the governmental institutions and laws that make this country the greatest in the world. It is because of this strong belief in the principles of freedom, individual liberties, the rule of law, and democracy that we formed You Don't Speak for Me!: American Hispanic Voices Speaking Out Against Illegal Immigration," the group says.

"American Hispanic voices are being shouted down by the hate and race-directed rhetoric of those who do not appreciate the laws of our country. We of You Don't Speak for Me! give voice to those without a voice and those whose opposition to illegal immigration is drowned out by illegal aliens and their supporters marching in the streets demanding undeserved 'rights' of U.S. citizens."

To those who are in the U.S. illegally and those who would give away amnesty, the group says: "You are wrong and you should not be claiming to speak for all American Hispanics."

The website provides the profile of Carmen Morales, who arrived in the United States at the age of 3 and now drives a school bus in New Jersey.

"I am often asked to translate for bi-lingual teachers, who barely speak English, and teach their lessons in Spanish instead. I notice the children's books teach Mexican history of Pancho Villa, not America's own founding fathers, like George Washington," she wrote.

"American children are being pushed out of their own schools; lost and confused in classrooms, cafeterias and playgrounds where Spanish is now the language of choice. I know this to be the case … and have seen it firsthand," she said.

Legislators and politicians need to know, she said, "that the civil disobedience that has taken over our streets and communities is designed to bully them into giving amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. The cost of that kind of amnesty for our families, our children and future generations, is one that none of us can afford!"

CCIR said its priorities are to have legislation that gives a path to citizenship, protects workers and reunites families, restores the "rule of law," and promotes civic participation.

Organizations in support of CCIR include the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, League of United Latin American Citizens, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund and the National Immigration Forum as well an a number of organized labor groups.

We should send this story to all of our senators and representatives and tell them we do not want any tax dollars, monies going to this group or others who are trying to overtake the United States through various means.

It is not the desire of Americans to support those who would overthrow us and do us harm.

    Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

    ANOTHER ARTICLE

    CCIR on Reconquista Fabian Nunez
    http://www.americanpatrol.com/RECONQUIS ... 90726.html

    California Coalition for Immigration Reform
    5942 Edinger, Ste. 113-117
    Huntington Beach, CA 92649
    Ph: 714-665-2500/Fx: 714-846-9682

Fabian Nunez was a moderator at a panel of The National Association of Latino Elected Officials' (NALEO) campaign strategies conference at Chapman College JULY 25-26, 1998.
    1) Fabian Nunez is an activist with ONE STOP IMMIGRATION, headed by Juan Jose Gutierrez. ONE STOP is one of the most vocal pro illegal alien advocacy groups in California and is under investigation by the FBI for misappropriation of federal and state grants. They coordinated the massive Los Angeles "Grande Marcha" against Prop 187 in October 1994, where thousands waving Mexican flags outraged Americans throughout the country. Nunez was on stage much of the time, directing speakers.
    2) Mr. Nunez was a speaker at the Latino Summit Response to Prop 187 at U.C. Riverside in January, 1995. where 500 pro-alien activists, along with Art Torres' now infamous "Prop 187 is the last gasp of white America in California" statement, made racist, seditious speeches such as:called for establishment of "AZTLAN" in "occupied territories of Mexico"; called the United States "AmeriKKKa" & "United Snakes of America"; referred to our southern border as "the false border"; claimed "187 is a declaration of war on the Latino community"; called Pete Wilson another Orville Faubus & Pee Wee Wilson; stated "gringos" stole the land of the territorial minority; stated "a classroom is just another space in which to organize, our areas are "sin fronteras" (without borders); human rights are violated when people crossing the border have to show green cards; claimed white men are the invaders; naturalization is a step to get back "what was ours - our land"; claimed the need for Chicano studies in schools & "English should be a foreign language"; "We're in a state of war, a vicious threat to our existence"; "We live in the annexed territories of AZTLAN"; "We live under occupying alien forces"; "We 're hostages in our own land, prisoners of war"; "We're the owners of this land"; "The white man keeps us ignorant"; "We'll take over our campuses, have joint educational planning with Mexico"; "By 2015 we'll be the majority, this means a transfer of power, historically we are going to win."Mr. Nunez' verbatim (edited) speech at that conference follows:"...there's only two kinds of power in this country and in this world ... economic power, and we don't have economic power because we don't own the means of production, but there's another form of power, and that's the power of the masses. So you can be as revolutionary as you want, you can be Chicano nationalists, you can be Mexican-American, you can be Hispanic, you can believe in the concept of AZTLAN, you can believe in the concept of multi-culturalism ... somebody can say "I am the only one that has reached revolutionary completeness" ...I'll tell you that on October 16th, 150,000 representatives from the sleeping giant we're not in a coma, but rather we're marching down the streets of Los Angeles saying that enough is enough and we're no longer going to tolerate the racism against our community... we can talk to our people all we want about Chicano nationalism ... give one moment of thought to what the importance of a national march on Washington DC in 1996 would mean for the mass movement of our community ... each of you get ten people to go with us on that march in Washington DC and I guarantee you just as we mobilized 150 [intended to say 150,000] to the streets of Los Angeles on October 16th, we will mobilize 1 million people and bring Washington to a standstill, and those rednecks that are out there making decisions for the betterment of their communities will think twice before they push forward anti- immigrant legislation against our community ... if you're still debating the question of whether they're Chicanos or Mexicanos ... we're not learning from the lessons of 10 - 15 years ago. The time has come for unity... in 1996 we are going to Washington on a mass mobilization there to bring Washington to a standstill so that they know we are there and that we begin to put into place those things that are necessary to insure that we advance the interests of our community.
"QUESTION: Mr. Nunez' statements at that conference referencing "we", "our", etc. vs "they" appear to imply that anyone who is of Mexican descent is not a loyal American citizen, but is working with him to overthrow the US government and put the US under the control of Hispanic ethnic tyranny. Would you agree that is an accurate evaluation of his statements?
    3) ONE STOP IMMIGRATION conducted the "Latino March on Washington" in October 1996, where 30 speakers supported "rights" for illegal aliens such as free education through college, free medical care, $7 minimum wage with rights to union membership, and another massive amnesty. Another leader of ONE STOP, Umberto Camacho, publicized that rally stating, Marcha Reference"There is no difference between citizens and the undocumented, and we are taking citizenship to make that happen."QUESTION: As a ONE STOP leader, does Mr. Nunez hold our citizenship laws in contempt as does Umberto Camacho?
    4) ONE STOP IMMIGRATION conducted the "March 9 Coalition" rally at Los Angeles City Hall on March 9, 1997. Fabian Nunez introduced many speakers, one of whom was a representative from M.E.Ch.A., the militant student wing of the AZTLAN movement. She shouted from the rally stage,"We are in solidarity with those who are being victimized under this racist system - we have lived under the tyranny that has lasted over 500 years - we are victims of genocide ... when the people in this building (including City Hall) no long listen to the community then we must burn the building. Thin they'll wake up. There is no justice - they're killing us ... this is our land - this is our fight? Forward, Mexican people!"QUESTION: As ONE STOP IMMIGRATION leader at that rally, Nunez never criticized nor distanced himself from those statements. Does this mean that your NALEO moderator, Nunez, supports the anti-American hate violence and revolutionary literature being published on our campuses by M.E.Ch.A. which advocates the US southwestern states be reclaimed for Mexico and, ultimately, total control of the US government and the implementation communism as promoted by M.E.Ch.A?CCIR is amazed that Fabian Nunez, a confirmed militant revolutionary, was chosen as a NALEO spokesperson, and that you, a visible Republican political figure, associate with him at NALEO functions. We will appreciate both your personal response as well as the response from Southern California Edison.
