LA sues to take over alleged MS-13 gang hub

LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles city attorney's office has filed a lawsuit to take over a suspected drug hub for the notorious Mara Salvatrucha gang.
The lawsuit was filed Friday against Jacob Libman, owner of the 24-unit apartment building in the city's Pico-Union neighborhood.

City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan says police have documented the building as a hangout and drug-sales hub for the Salvatrucha gang since 2004. He says the lawsuit asks a judge to appoint a property manager to clean up the building.

Reached by phone, Libman said he had no knowledge of illegal activity at the building and had no further comment.

Mara Salvatrucha, also known as MS-13, originated among Salvadoran immigrants in Los Angeles during the 1980s and has spread throughout the United States.

If the DA knows it's a hang out why don't they go there, arrest them and deport them?! If they take over the building, the gang just moves to another one.

The corrupt mayor and city council want to run MS-13 and help them more efficiently distribute drugs and terrorize citizens......

If they have all this information, then why not get a warrant and arrest the gangbangers!! Why some uselsss civil suit which essentially holds the apartment complex owner at fault and excuses the gang bangers who will just move on to the next apartment complex!

This is nothing more than window dressing on the part of a corrupt LA city leadership that has no intentions of going after these gang bangers!

Furthermore, what's a apartment owner supposed to do! If he were to deny occupancy to ANY hispanic gangbanger, the ACLU and city of LA would hall him into court and sue him for discrimination!
