    Laredo Border Patrol Agents Intercept More than Just Car Parts

    (Tuesday, October 07, 2008)

    Laredo, Texas – Border Patrol agents from the Laredo North station seized a large load of marijuana early Monday morning.

    Agents working at the IH-35 checkpoint were conducting an immigration inspection at primary of a driver of a 2000 Freightliner tractor trailer when a Border Patrol canine alerted to the rear portion of the trailer indicating the

    presence of hidden contraband or people. The tractor trailer was referred to secondary for a more thorough inspection of the trailer.

    Inside the trailer, agents discovered several large cellophane-wrapped bundles of marijuana mixed- in with a legitimate shipment of automotive parts. The bundles contained a total of 2,088 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of over $1.6 million.

    The driver, tractor trailer and narcotics were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

    Bush is going to be upset that his "stash" has been seized. He'll probably have Johnny Sutton arrest the officers and have them charged with illegal search and seizure and put them in jail for 11 to 12 years.
