Latest Rasmussen Polling -- No to Senate Bill!

    Rasmussen Reports

Just 16% Believe Senate Bill Will Reduce Illegal Immigration
    Wednesday, May 30, 2007

There’s a simple reason the immigration bill being debated by the U.S. Senate is unpopular with voters—the general public doesn’t believe it will reduce illegal immigration. And, in the minds of most voters, that’s what immigration reform is all about.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 16% of American voters believe illegal immigration will decline if the Senate bill is passed. Seventy-four percent (74%) disagree. That figure includes 41% who believe the Senate bill will actually lead to an increase in illegal immigration.

If voters had a chance to improve the legislation, 75% would “make changes to increase border security measures and reduce illegal immigration.â€

    Excellent information for talking points.

That's because we don't have a secure border now. If they were serious about securing it, it would have been done by now. Illegal immigration and immigration status should be a separate bill once the border is secured and MANNED. That way when any legalization is done, there won't be a flood of whatever coming accross the border---Secure the border and then and only then we will talk.

Public opinion means zilch to Bush. Actually, he thinks you agree with him, no matter whether you think you do.

As he just said yesterday, "Confronted with strong opposition to his Iraq policies, President Bush decides to interpret public opinion his own way. Actually, he says, people agree with him."

It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.

Agreed, public opinion means little (now moreso than ever) to the bullheaded, lame duck, unpopular Bush, but it may/will mean more to other pols up for reelection soon, e.g., House members.

Citizen Filibuster Against SPP & Immigration Reform Bill

SPREAD THE WORD!!! Tell everyone you can possibly think of including other activist organizations, friends, family, religious/spiritual organizations, businesses, local and national members of the media through emails, phone calls, YouTube, MySpace, etc. If enough citizens participate, we will force Congress to listen to us through a potentially drastic change to partisan politics.

    ****************************************URGENT!!!* *******************************************

[Mod Edit - please review the rules]

Anyone registered to vote as a Democrat or Republican should contact their local county election board to request a voter registration card. Most offices will mail this directly to you, otherwise pick one up as soon as possible or download the printable form online.

Then, call or email your U.S. Senators and House of Representative members to let them know that if the Senate passes this bill, you will change your voter registration party affiliation to "Unaffiliated / Independent."

Then, if the Senate does pass this bill, fill out your voter registration card, change your party affiliation, and mail it in.

That's all! This is the strongest message we can send to make Washington listen!!!
