From Pasadena to Mexico City, obesity is epidemic, diabetes rates are skyrocketing, and heart disease and cancer are the leading causes of death among U.S. Hispanics, according to a conference of U.S. and Mexican experts
This is no different than what has happened to our American Indians! Why, then, is our Indian population so neglected while the health of NON Americans so important? Not going to get on a soapbox here but there is an enormous disparity between the two and our Indians are suffering to a degree that is frightening.

    I agree with you.
Here again they are not willing to take care of those at home but are willing to send insurance rates sky high so illegals can be treated.

more BS-their traditional cooking (I'm a cook by trade and cook a lot of Latino food) is very high in fat, cholestoral, and starch. They notice the difference in their health here because now they have access to medical treatment and better health pros, not the change in dietary practices.

high insurance due to fat people

    Questions I would like answered
    1. How long did it take researchers to figure out that mexican food it high in calories?
    2. How long have fat people been eating tacos, nachos, and fajhitas?
    3. Have you ever seen a skinny person filling their faces with tacos, nachos and fajhitas?
    4. Are these fat people going to make my insurance go up?

Not sure about 1-3 but I have an opinion on them.
As for number 4, yes it will keep going up with us footing the bills for them.

they got plenty to eat-just not what we would.Saw an episode of Max-X video where they were at a 'fried rat' stand in Mexico.I'd advise travelers to remember to bring the ol' farm animal flashcards with them when eating in a foreign country.
Also (not kidding this time either) did you know that Chihuahuas weren't pets originally?Funny how the former main course could be a pop icon of the 90s for Taco Bell.

Flash cards may not be a bad idea for local meat markets either.
