01-24-2009, 05:10 PM #11She may feel we need to enforce immigration ."SO" this makes her UNQUALIFIED? I would say she is doing her job and representing the American people and not big business. The Governor had a long list of extremely qualified and talented New Yorkers to consider that would not have created the opposition he will face. None of the other candidates have an anti-immigration record."When you have knowledge, you have a responsibility to do better"_ Paula Johnson
"I did then what I knew to do. When I knew better,I did better"_ Maya Angelou

01-24-2009, 07:11 PM #12Good to know. Everyone in New York should be congratulating her!In fact, Rep. Gillibrand's stand on a range of issues is counter to the desires of the majority of New Yorkers, including her hard-line stand on immigration, which borders on xenophobia.RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends
