Thread: Latinos to school: keep Spanish programs or else!

What Gall!! you know alot of these children are anchor babies who hear nothing but Spanish the first 5 years of their life, then these people send their children to school and expect the taxpayers to teach them English and they also hold back our children while doing it...Do they ever take responsibility for their actions??

They are illegally in this country and demand we "nasty gringos" pay for their health care. welfare, food stamps, wic, education and other benefits while we lose our homes, jobs, health care and pensions. And that fraud of an oval office occupant Obama continues feeding the "animals" encouraging them to take and steal even more.

Minnesota has a chance to stop this madness before you drown your education system attempting to educate the ILLEGALS and their anchors! Texas has a "bilingual" program for just "Spanish" speakers only costing Billions of dollars once it began to pick up steam. The ILLEGALS and their anchors in the Texas School System are so illiterate that "our" schools have to spend time and resources to teach the ILLEGALS and anchors "proper" Spanish before they can even consider teaching the ILLEGALS and anchors English! The ILLEGALS and anchors have their own program starting in pre-kindergarten through the 5th grade, seven years, and most do not or do not want to learn English. But the Feds and State of Texas continue to flood the school system with "our" money.

Don't be concerned, the ILLEGALS do not have any intention of learning English! They want to take over the United States for their Third World "home" countries or at the very least turn the United States into just another Third World Country so they may "feel" more at "home"!

The United States has always welcomed refugees and legal immigrants; the problem in the United States has to do with ILLEGALS invading our nation with out any desire to assimilate as citizens but only obtain citizenship in an effort to steal from our treasury and take jobs from citizens sending their ill gotten gains back to their home countries.

The US Supreme Court just ruled that States have the right to determine what kind of ELS classes are taught and how much money is spent on them. This was in a landmark case involving Arizona schools. Don't be surprised if money starts getting cut in all school districts for ESL classes.

As a teacher, I see kids of ALL nationalities come to school in the USA for the first time. Those that legally immigrate here have parents that usually take responsiblity for their own kids futures and have them taught English before they ever come to the USA. They have no problem adjusting and being involved in mainstream classes just like any other kids. This is because parents don't just up and move. There is some kind of thought and planning that takes place before such a move.

On the other hand, illegal aliens come here with no English skills. They just pick up what they can carry in a back pack and sneak over the border. The parents of illegal alien children don't have the same sense of responsiblity to make sure their kids succeed. They instead, feel the it is our responsibility to make sure they succeed.

As for their threat to pick up and go some where else.....I a sure the local taxpayer won't mind. Good riddance!

Yeah, AZ just won big. We were getting dinged a million a day for this BS and now we don't have to any more. Superintendent of Schools, Tom Horne, has his head screwed on straight and sticks up for AZ kids.

The reason why illegals expect so much is because we gave it to them for so many years. Like a 2-year-old that has been coloring on the walls and now the new nanny in town says "can't do that cause I'm tired of cleaning it up."

Time to put our foot down. Or, in someone's mouth. We just plain can't afford it anymore. And, in case no one has noticed, we have sacrificed our own kid's education to be nice to these people. You can tell the people that immigrated legally. They respect us and know what we are offering.

Another parent, Shannon Castillo, wept as she asked, "Why can't our children continue to come to a school that's good, that's clean and that's safe?"

The arrogance, bravado and sense of entitlement these people exhibit is nothing short of amazing! I have really never seen anything like it! They operate under the assumption they are doing Minneapolis, and this country, some sort of favor by blessing us with their presence! I guess this sense of entitlement comes as a result of a government who panders to their every whim, along with refusing to enforce this countries immigration laws. These people are not "living in the shadows!"

Of course they require a translator to make their so called threats!
Anyone else notice how these people equate a "good and clean school" with one that caters to their beloved spanish! Didn't know there was such a correlation, but hey what do I know! Even more astounding, is they would be willing to pull their children out of a "good and clean school" simply because it does not placate them with their mother tongue.

Does this sound like a group who is eager to assimilate? Hopefully, they do not just leave Minneapolis, but the country as well!
