    Politics by Claude Cartaginese

One of Democracy Now!’s featured headline stories yesterday centered on the Government Accountability Office audit which claims that the fence being built along the US Border with Mexico is years behind schedule and has run billions of dollars over initial cost projections. Auditors claim that the completed fence will cost an additional $6.5 billion in maintenance expenses, but more importantly, there will be “no mechanisms to gauge its actual impact.â€

    No fence built in 2010!

I've been listening to a Border Security hearing on C-Span. It seems that NO actual fence will be built in 2010. The "virtual" fence is way behind schedule and will not be fully operational until 2016.

We need to DEMAND the actual fence be completed. If there is no control of the border, there must be NO CIR, NO Amnesty!

I suspect a virtual fence will cost BILLIONS. We don't need a virtual fence. We need a double fence with a gravel road down the middle.
Line it with sensors and cameras.

Put a few drones over head, to track anyone setting off a sensor.

We merely need to ask the Israeli's' to be consultants. Their fence keeps out their illegals. Of course they put real bullets in their guns and use them.
