* Tonight we look into the stimulus bill’s proposed $2
Billion that is allocated to one or more near zero emissions
power plants. The Department of Energy backed out of supporting
a near zero emissions plant project in Illinois two years ago
saying it didn’t work. Environmental America and the Center for
American Progress say the government could be creating more
jobs by investing in technologies other than clean coal. We'll
have all the details tonight in "Lou's Line-Item Veto."


* Plus, lawmakers are frantically working on a plan to
strip billions from President Obama's stimulus package. Critics
say the plan is filled with unnecessary spending, including
$696 million dollars to build a new headquarters for the
Department of Homeland Security. We will have a full report
tonight.
