Hi BearFlagRepublic and friends. Well he called Spitzer an idiot for all practical purposes. He did a bit of backtracking and clarified that Spitzer's ideas were idiotic. You know he sees Elliott Spitzer in his mind with the word "Idiot" stamped on his forehead. He said he would use buffoon on his show, but Spitzer = Idiot to Lou.

He told how Democrats and Republicans opposed this in New York overwhelmingly. I think Larry is for this dumb thing.

He spoke of being a populist. He talked about our government failing us. He spoke about Public Education and his support of it and how it is the best hope he said for America's children/future. He spoke of the high dropout rate of Hispanics and blacks.

I will try to watch Larry King again at 12AM EST to give you a better reflection. Lou was on for the first bit and the Robert Redford followed.

Lou is saying that the Governor is immature. He is saying that the whole plan for this idea of drivers licenses for illegal aliens is for voting, PERIOD.

He said that the politicians, etc. are 300 million (people) out of touch.

Larry KIng asked if every illegal alien left would we be better off. Lou says absolutely. Those who suggest we can reform immigration law without border security are nuts. You cannot reform immigration if you cannot control immigration.

He said border security should be primary. Discussing the number of troops overseas, the different nations we are in, and yet we cannot (will not) secure our borders.

Larry asked him about the election race so far. Lou said "pretty sorry." None of these candidates impress him. He says that someone else entirely may step forward to win the Presidential race. He says both parties dominated by corporate interests. Lou says national values important. National sovereignty challenged. Talking about borders. Dysfunctional government.

Half of Hispanics dropping out. About half (? I think he said) of blacks dropping out. We don't have time for No Child Left Behind. We must provide quality public education to everyone.

Only 1/3 of Americans think that their children will have it better.

He thinks there will be lots of surprises.

He says any time, any place for Vicente Fox.
