withdrawal of troops from Iraq. Sen. John Warner, the ranking
member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, is the most
prominent defector yet from President Bush’s Iraq strategy. And
a leading House conservative criticizes the Iraq strategy as
unrealistic. We’ll bring you the latest on the friction between
Congress and the White House and the future of our men and
women serving in Iraq.

With the holidays approaching, Wal-Mart today announced new
efforts to inspect the toys on its shelves in light of the
numerous toy recalls in recent weeks. But why haven’t Wal-Mart
and other large retailers been more vigilant about the products
they sell to consumers in the first place? And aren’t Wal-Mart
and other low-cost providers to blame for pushing suppliers and
manufacturers to offer goods on the cheap at the expense of
safety and quality? We’ll have a full report.
