Radio
Lou’s nationally-syndicated talk radio show, The Lou Dobbs
Show, debuted this spring. Join us weekdays for news and
politics aimed at independent thinkers. Visit LouDobbsRadio.com

Joining Lou in the Independent Nation on Friday will be
Democratic Senator DEBBIE STABENOW of Michigan. She’ll give her
thoughts on the auto bailout meetings on Capitol Hill, and what
the failure of a Big Three automaker would mean to the people
of her state.

U.S. Representative HEATH SHULER, a North Carolina Democrat,
will discuss his push for an immigration bill that would make
employers verify a new worker’s legal status before they’re
hired.

Washington Post columnist ROBERT SAMUELSON will talk to Lou
about the challenges—and choices—that President-elect Barack
Obama faces in trying to turn around the nation’s economy.

And Professor STEVE SMITH, director of the Weidenbaum Center on
the Economy, Government, and Public Policy at Washington
University in St. Louis, will examine the unresolved Minnesota
Senate race between incumbent Republican Norm Coleman and
Democratic challenger Al Franken.
