Tonight: Just over three weeks remain before the Iowa caucuses
kick off the presidential primary season, and both parties’
nominations are up for grabs. Hillary Clinton and Rudy Giuliani
have seen their leads dwindle or disappear while Barack Obama,
John Edwards, Mike Huckabee and even Ron Paul have gained
traction. We’ll have all the latest from the campaign trail.

Twenty-four U.S. states report that their revenues are being
hit by the current housing slump. An estimated 2 million
families are on the verge of losing their homes in coming
months. Meanwhile, banks and financial companies are looking
out for their own interests. We’ll take a look at the mortgage
crisis from the local and state level.

Lobbyists are pressuring Congress to expand the H-2B visa
program, which allows foreign workers to come here for short
stints in peak seasons. Technology companies, nursing groups,
and hotel owners are among those saying they could face labor
shortages next year unless Congress acts. But many lawmakers
are skeptical. We’ll have that story.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon is trying to shape the tone
