Tonight, another report undermining President Bush’s claims
about progress in Iraq: the independent Government
Accountability Office finds that Iraq has failed to meet 11 of
the 18 benchmarks set by Congress while partially meeting four.
The report comes a day after Bush quietly suggested a troop
reduction is possible thanks to improving security. We’ll have
the latest from Congress and the White House on what’s next in
the Iraq debacle.

In his first state of the union speech since becoming president
of Mexico, Felipe Calderon criticized the U.S. government and
its efforts to shut down illegal immigration. During the speech
Calderon proclaimed that “Mexico does not end at its bordersâ€

The department plans on sending hundreds of thousands of letters in the coming weeks, affecting an estimated 8 million workers. But in California, a federal judge has temporarily banned the agency from enforcing the new rules.

What gives this dipstick of a judge the right to stop the Department of Homeland Security from ensuring that my Social Security number isn't being used by someone that is illegally here. This judge needs a swift kick in the arse. To hell with that judge, it's a feloney for anyone to use someone else's SS# for anything. Damn him.
