Serious question. What are Hispanic Americans? Hispanic is not a race, religion or country of origin. I thought we were all Americans. I never hear of groups that promote Asian Americans or Caucasian Americans (which includes hispanics) so why all the division?

    sofedup:

It's all about money, grants, loans, etc. from state, local and fed government to fund "minority" education, social, housing, health "issues" as if , those issues are any different than any other Americans. There's a lot of money and set-aside from the government for programs specifically targeting race-based and ethnic-centric groups and these hucksters have been very successful at getting at that money, enlarging their organizations and begging for more.
