Immigrants, Mass. officials to meet for last forum
Mia Carter
Boston (AP) -- Immigration advocates and Massachusetts officials are holding the last of five state-sponsored meetings on immigration reform.
A coalition of immigrant groups and the Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants are meeting Wednesday in Fitchburg as part of Gov. Deval Patrick's effort to seek ideas on state immigration changes.
Richard Chacon, director of the Office for Refugees and Immigrants, says the forums have drawn hundreds of people who want to reforms such as in-state tuition for undocumented immigrants, more support for various refugee groups and expanded foster care for refugee children.
Victoria Fahlberg, executive director of ONE Lowell, an immigrant advocate group, says she's hopeful changes will come out of the meetings.

Oh just use BROKE California as an example. Did you know once upon a time the citizens of CA only had to pay for their books in community colleges? Then came the giveaway programs to the undocumented immigrants and their anchor babies? How do these anchor babies get help when their parents cannot legally do a fafsa form? Do these anchor babies have to wait until they're 24, being legally independent at that age from parents for fafsa? I know many American Citizens who cannot get help from their parents nor the government until they are 24 years old. But governments think that undocumented parents' children should go to the front of the line? I think NOT
And think one minute how do the undocumented students and these anchor babies damage the Grade Point Average of American Citizens?Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Do these state-sponsored (ie tax-payer funded) meetings EVER EVER include ANY pro-enforcement representatives??? Its always all about "How can we help immigrants, legal or NOT? What other programs and services do they need? Why we need to fight FOR amnesty!" This gets so old.....

Looking at ONE Lowell's website it sounds like they are not too different from ACORN----another community organizing group, but specializing in immigrant issues. They have a section "Call your Legislators"---as if illegal aliens had any legislators to call.
