Notice that this isn't being talked about ANYWHERE, Macy's doesn't advertise this on their site.

You just come in and show your magic Mexican ID and bam there's your discount.

OH and by the way, I'm trying to get this story picked up nationally. I've been going to various news sites and posting on the blogs. Please help if you can. Just go to your favorite news web site and post it on a blog if they have one.

I wonder if these communities give tax breaks to Macy's for locating in their areas? If so the locals are getting screwed twice, first tax wise and second with the Out of town, show me your MEXICAN ID, discount.

The Welcome Card is about tourism. I get the discount in Seattle, you get it in Atlanta, hell, there's a special desk at Herald Square in New York whose sole job is to hand out these cards. The discount gets handed out equally to everyone, so long as they are not from the place they are picking up the card and can show ID.
