STONY CREEK N.Y. — Police arrested a 35-year-old Hudson man in connection with the stabbing of two men Tuesday evening at a home in Stony Creek, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said.

Police said a fight broke out at the 232 Warrensburg Road home at about 8 p.m. Police said that at some point during the fight, J. Guadalupe Bernal Sanchez pulled a knife and stabbed a 25-year-old man in the abdomen and inflicted another wound in the shoulder of a 22-year-old man.

Police said both men, who were not identified, were taken to Glens Falls Hospital for treatment.

Police said the man with the abdomen wound was admitted to the hospital for treatment, and the other man was treated and released.

Police said Bernal Sanchez was arrested on Alternate Route 7 in Albany County by State Police at about 9 p.m. Tuesday.

He was charged with first-degree assault and second-degree assault, both felonies, police said.

Police said a second man who had fled the scene, Israel Garcia Arcos, was located in Lake Luzerne. Police said he was later charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police said Bernal Sanchez and Arcos were both arraigned in the Queensbury Town Court on Wednesday and sent to the Warren County Correctional Facility without bail.

Police said Immigration and Customs Enforcement was contacted to check the immigration status of both Bernal Sanchez and Arcos.
