Man charged with murder in Ore. boy's death


ALBANY, Ore. (AP) -- Authorities say 26-year-old Mario de Dios Tomas has been charged with murder by abuse in the death of 2-year-old Samuel Martinez-Castaneda of Scio, whose body was found Saturday.

The Linn County sheriff's office says the murder count was added Monday to other charges because an autopsy showed the child died of blunt trauma to the abdomen.

The suspect is a boyfriend of the child's mother and had been living at her home. He also was charged Saturday with domestic assault against her.

He is in the Linn County jail without bail and is being held for immigration authorities.

The mother's three other children were turned over to their biological father.

Are the people involved in this story illegals? It sickens me to think about and/or read about a child being hurt let alone murdered. What a sick cold hearted SOB to brutalize this poor child....very sad story!

I just don't know how anyone could do that to another human being....

ANOTHER ILLEGAL ALIEN MONSTER KILLS AN INNOCENT CHILD. I hope he frys.
