ELOY, Ariz. - A 19-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, who has already been deported 11 times, were arrested after running from deputies on Tuesday.

A Pinal County Sheriff's deputy was driving on I-8 near I-10 when he attempted to pull a car over for a traffic violation.

The vehicle ignored the deputy, crossed over the eastbound lanes of traffic and stopped suddenly.

Deputies say Felipe Gonzalez-Tempura and Daniel Jupa-Fino ran out of the car and were chased into a nearby trailer park.

A perimeter was established and deputies were able to take Gonzalez-Tempura into custody.

He was injured when he tried to climb over a barbwire fence.

Deputies found 10 packaged bundles of marijuana weighing about 220 pounds and a worth of $165,000.

Gonzalez-Tempura was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center for possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and transportation of marijuana.

Deputies say a citizen reported a suspicious person at the Pride Gas Station in the 7100 block of Sunland Gin Road around 8:15 p.m.

Workers at the truck stop told deputies a man told them deputies were looking for him because he had fled from a traffic stop.

Authorities located Jupa-Fino and after a brief struggle, he was taken into custody.

Border Patrol officials told deputies Jupa-Fino had been deported 11 times during the last three years for entering the US illegally.

He was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center for Possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and transportation of marijuana.
