A man was stabbed to death during a fight near an encampment of illegal aliens in Denver on Thanksgiving, according to reports.

The incident unfolded just before 11 a.m. on Thursday in the downtown area of Colorado’s capital city.

A suspect known as “Cuba” began arguing with a group of people believed to be mostly illegal aliens from South America when violence broke out, local media reports.

Footage shot by a witness has been circulating on social media.

“He came looking for problems,” one participant told Fox 31.

“We pulled out sticks and knives.”

During the altercation, a man who tried to intervene was knifed by the suspect, who was later identified as 64-year-old Gido Izquierdo-Ortega.

Initial reports indicate a second person was also slashed, but that victim has not been located, authorities say.

After the stabbing, the group reportedly pelted the suspect with projectiles, including a concrete block, ultimately knocking him out and disarming him.

“Several bystanders in the area began efforts to subdue Izquierdo-Ortega, eventually rendering him unconscious. Izquierdo-Ortega was ultimately transported to the hospital, was medically cleared, and is being held for investigation of First-Degree Murder,” the Denver Police Department (DPD) explained in a press release.

DPD says the suspect’s booking photo is being withheld “for investigative purposes.”
