A man living in Klamath Falls has been sentenced to more than 7 years in federal prison after re-entering the United States four times after deportation.

Juan Villafana-Gomez, 32, was sentenced Tuesday by a federal District Court judge in Medford to serve 87 months in federal prison for one count of illegal firearms possession and one count of illegal reentry to the country.

Villafana-Gomez was arrested by Klamath County Sheriff's deputies after a traffic stop on Shasta Way in September 2010 led to the discovery of a .40 caliber semiautomatic handgun and two pounds of methamphetamine under the front passenger's seat.

A subsequent investigation of Villafana-Gomez's vehicle and his property on Shasta Way following the arrest led to the seizure of a loaded .40 caliber semiautomatic handgun, two semi-automatic .223 assault rifles with five fully loaded 30 round magazines, a .25 caliber handgun and a loaded 100 round drum magazine. Four pounds of marijuana, scales and more than $17,000 in cash were also recovered.
