Man Takes Jump Off Border Wall

BROWNSVILLE - It's a long way down. The border wall is 18 feet high. That's almost two stories, but that didn’t stop two men from taking their chances.

The men were spotted by Border Patrol. When they saw the agents, they tried to avoid arrest by going back toward Mexico. They ran to a certain area and chose to try to jump the fence to avoid capture.

One of them successfully made it. The other did not.

Agents said the men did not use any objects to help them get up, instead they likely used the fence itself to scale it.

The illegal who didn't make it over fell from the top of the fence to the ground. He is at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville. He was complaining of pain to his ankle.

The other man voluntarily went back across the border and isn’t facing charges.

Do you think this illegal scum bag had his insurance card with him? Looks like this medical bill is on the tax payers.

He will probably sue the border patrol for not catching him when he fell.

That ladder crap is BS! I've seen many videos of IAs coming over a/the fence and never saw one using a ladder. Anyone using a 20' ladder to get to the top of an 18' fence who is too stupid to pull the ladder up and place it on the other side instead of jumping deserves to land on his head.

If more than 1 person is going to cross the first guy isn't going to be able to pull the ladder up.
(I'd like to see someone stand on top of a fence and pull a ladder up and over without falling.)

The CA. double fence, in and near San Diego, has razor wire on the top of the second fence.
(They started putting it on the fence right on the border and Mexico complained and Washington stopped them.)
Then they put it on the second fence which is several yards into he U.S. It works pretty good. To bad we can't get the double fence all the way across the border.
