Arraignment today for McDonald's bandits

Two woman accused of robbing a McDonald's restaurant will appear in a downtown courtroom Thursday.

A mother and daughter, who allegedly hatched a plan to rob a McDonald's on University Avenue in Hillcrest when the daughter was working, are scheduled to be arraigned.

The daughter, 22-year-old Yurico Villanueva, said she was confronted by a man and a woman who forced her to open the restaurant's safe.

Later on the surveillance video, detectives recognized the employee's mother, 44-year-old Rebeca Gomez, as the bandit.

The San Diego City News Service reports that the women were booked into the Las Colinas women's jail Monday night on suspicion of conspiracy, burglary, grand theft and embezzlement, according to San Diego police and jail officials.

Good folks only trying to work. HA! I am glad they were arrested. I'd like to know how the dauugter go a job at McDonalds without a social security card. Did she steal someones id? After a stay in prison, I hope they deport their butts immediately along with the rest of their clan.

Local TV News says the take was about $16,000. By the time the cops got to their house they already had 4 new tires on their van and numerous other new items in the van.
