    They told deputies they paid between $1,700 and $4,000 to be smuggled into the country.
    Where do these poor, disdvantaged people get all of this money to pay smugglers? Maybe they should keep their money at home and spend it improving their lives there.

    They borrow it from their relative, friends, neighbors and cartel loan sharks, that's why they send money back home. To repay the loans.
