    ANNAPOLIS, MD

    The leader of a Maryland immigrant advocacy group who met with President Obama says "time is running out" for any positive signs from his administration this year.

    Gustavo Torres, who runs CASA de Maryland, was one of a group of community leaders who begged Obama Monday afternoon to deliver comprehensive immigration reform this year.

    Obama told the group he would be delivering a speech soon on the importance of passing reform, according to a White House statement.

    The release also said the president reiterated his desire to see a bipartisan effort come through Congress that will further secure U.S. borders and demand accountability from workers here illegally and "unscrupulous employers."

    Obama meets tomorrow with hispanic congress members.

    Torres said in a written statement afterward that he appreciates Obama's commitment to reform, but he hopes Obama acts quickly.

    Why does it seem as if everytime I turn around, obama is meeting with some hispanic group, making demands about how he must deliver amnensty!
