Mexican consul general visits Grand Junction

    BY MARIJA B. VADER
    GRAND JUNCTION, CO
    April 25, 2008

Mexico would prefer its citizens stay in their home country, contribute to the economy there and earn money there, rather than leave for the United States, said Eduardo Arnal, consul general of Mexico.

A lawyer and former congressman in Mexico, Arnal, 37, stopped briefly in Grand Junction Thursday on a quick trip through western Colorado.

Arnal was to have left for Mexico this morning, but not before commenting on hot-button topics like immigration, the presidential race, a recent comment by State Rep. Doug Bruce and the less-contentious topic of commerce between the countries.

    Doug Bruce’s comments

Republican State Rep. Doug Bruce offended Arnal and the Mexican government Monday after Bruce called Mexican farm workers “illiterate peasants.â€

I don't understand....when these people come for a better life....outside of the illegal employers who employ them.....how many of these crimes are done by citizens of this country....and how many are done by their own people knowing they won't do anything?

OUTSIDE of rip off bad employers.....seriously.....how many regular American citizens do crimes against these people.....vs how many of their own people screw them over?

Here we have MANY last amnesty citizens (and I use that lightly) who buy homes and rent homes in squalor to their OWN people for a buck. It's MEXICAN slum lords ripping off ILLEGAL MEXICAN people. It's NOT AMERICA....not even real American citizens.....it's not "whites" or "blacks" they are being used and abused by their own people!

It's public record...they post it all the time....look for yourself......

These people just can not stay out of our bussiness There everywhere

Your the tenth largest trading partner thanks to all of the American companys moving across the border for cheap labor....alot of their parts are still made here and being shipped there (maytag) and (lazyboy) fabric made here and constructed there, is this the trade you are speaking of.....(Just what Mexican company's has Mexico invented, besides tortia's and salsa?)

and if more people realized what so called American Companys(what a joke, they are now Mexican Co's and American traitors) were there, I'll bet they would not buy their products until your illegals get out and go home.
