CIUDAD JUAREZ - During a visit to Juarez, Mexican President Felipe Calderon unveiled a sign at an international bridge that reads "No More Guns."

He said most of the illegal guns on Mexico's streets come from the U.S. He watched on Thursday as the military destroyed thousands of weapons seized in the war on drugs.

Tanks rolled over the weapons and crushed the guns. Soldiers then dismantled what was left and set ammunition on fire.

The military says this is just a sample of the more than 100,000 weapons confiscated in the drug war since President Calderon took office in 2006.

Authorities did not specify exactly where they seized the weapons.
Calderon will remain in Juarez until Friday, where he plans to open a new library and tour athletic fields in a neighborhood where gunmen killed 16 students.
