I sent both of these to Trent Lott yesterday. If they don't just "delete unread" the email perhaps they will see what the American people are being slapped in the face with.

Another thought. If the Mexican riot directors urge the illegals to arm themselves, this is also against the law. Do the Illegals respect NO law? It seems very plausible to me that our law- abiding citizens may become so frustrated by lack of quick government action that our very own may take matters into their own hands. This would result in horrific bloodshed and riots; but backed into a corner, many who have tried to get immediate legal results from our government may feel there is not alternative but to defend our country. Would a daily bombardment, round the clock to the Capitol switchboard be a loud enough outcry? Thoughts please.

I wholeheartedly agree and I've made my position very clear with our governor, and the fact that this is a state's rights issue, not an 'immigration' issue
please do the same and let him know what you think ... maybe he will get a clue that we need to do more than train a few troopers
Governor Bob Riley stated "Never has deterring illegal immigration and stopping illegal immigration been more vital to our nation's security"
"Alabamians can be proud that our state was one of the first to step up and meet this challenge. Although border security is a federal responsibility, Alabama recognized it has an obligation to protect its citizens. That's why shortly after I became Governor, we reached an innovative and cooperative agreement with our federal Homeland Security Department that allows our state troopers to strengthen our nation's border security and interior enforcement. We made Alabama a national leader in this area.""Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it" George Santayana "Deo Vindice"
