    Mexico decries civilian border patrol
Officials prepare to go to court to stop activists

MEXICO CITY - Mexico says it may go to court in an attempt to stop the Minuteman Project, a plan by immigration-control activists to mount a civilian patrol on the Arizona-Mexico border in April.

The Mexican government has hired a Los Angeles law firm to study legal options to stop the effort, said Foreign Minister Luis Ernesto Derbez during a news conference.

He said he also planned to complain to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice when she visits Mexico City on March 10.

"We are going to attack by all legal means," Derbez said, according to a transcript released late Monday.

He called the Minuteman Project "incorrect and illegal from the point of view not only of our administration but also in view of the United States' own laws."

Organizers of the Minuteman Project have said the volunteers will notify the Border Patrol if they see border-crossers and will not confront the migrants directly.

But Mexican officials are worried the volunteers will take the law into their own hands.

"During the meeting with Secretary of State Rice, I would like to tell her about the actions that the Mexican government will undertake in defense of the rights of our fellow citizens in particular because of this concern about private-sector American groups committing actions that we see as illegal," Derbez said during the Monday news conference.

Mexico can't forcibly stop migrants from crossing because its constitution guarantees freedom of movement for all citizens, Derbez said.

He said Mexico would help Mexican-American groups challenging the project.

"There are a great number of legal measures at our disposal within the U.S. legal system, and we will make use of each and every one of them," Derbez said.

The Mexican government has traditionally avoided going to U.S. courts over immigration matters.

An aide to President Vicente Fox said Tuesday that he doubted Mexico would take legal action itself for fear of angering the Bush administration.

Derbez made similar threats of legal action after Arizona voters approved Proposition 200 in November. But a lawyer helping to challenge that law said Mexico has provided only "moral support" and no money.

This action only serves to illustrate how lawless Mexico is. Don't they GET IT.... that sneaking across the border is ILLEGAL entry?

But then again Mexican radicals still think they own the SWest and want to Re-Mexicanize it.

Hey you illegal border crossers ... Texas declared its independence from Mexican rule back on March 2, 1836 and became THE REPUBLIC OF TEXAS and earned statehood in 1846.

Haven't you gotten the message yet?
"This country has lost control of its borders. And no country can sustain that kind of position." .... Ronald Reagan

Can someone please tell Mexico that they don't have any legal right to tell the US what they can and can't do? It's so hypocritical of that third world bloated hellhole telling us that we can't meddle in their affairs, but then they turn around and blatantly do the same thing to us. Who do they think they are? If those wimps in Washington had any backbone then this garbage wouldn't even go on for another day longer.

Hey Mexico, word of advice. Fix that hellhole you call a country, do your jobs and take care of your own citizens instead of taking the easy, lazy way out and trying to dump your problems on us.

I mean Geez, if the Mexican illegals would quit invading our country en masse and our federal government would get off their collective behinds and do their jobs too then there wouldn't need to be any Minutemen to watch over our southern border.

Mexico and the activists have time and money for wacko litigation but not for enriching the lives of Mexicans in Mexico. I guess its more in accord with the communist tradition of seizing the property of others to solve problems, in this case the territory of the American people.

Now, not only the has the Americans' right to their own home been demolished, but their freedom to conduct a neighborhood watch is under attack too.

Can anyone say Homeland Security? Or is that just for New York? How many years have illegals been coming over the CA, AZ, and TX borders? How many gov't thieve's does it take to build a fence? That fence should have been completed years ago. But then, who would work the fields? White boys? I highly doubt it.
In the state of CO, Gov. Bill Owens is having pamphlet's made up telling the illegal's how to go about getting free medical, free everything.
CA is over 60% Mexican. Mostly illegal.
Guns are legal in the state of AZ. Why wouldn't these "minutemen" be wearing them on their hips if they're acting like the wild west? Are there ego's so big that they think they can scare the illegal's back over the border with just a look?
And what has George Bush promised the Mexican Govt that makes them think they can tell us how to run this country and what's illegal and what's not? I can only imagine.
Here we go again, focussing on some terrorist Mexican gang while the other terrorist's in Our House commit crimes against the American people on a daily basis and go around telling other countries what to do. Never take care of the problems that exist in the united States.
Our rights are being taken away and amended on a daily basis since 9/11. I am not willing to give up my rights and freedom's for an administration that is out of control.
Go to the bank. Try getting your savings (your hard earned dollars) out of a ready teller. Oh so sorry. (MODERATOR EDIT) You have to go inside of the bank to access YOUR savings. The bank is closed? You have an emergency? Oh, we're so sorry but ya know, Homeland Security and the Patriot Act have to have power over your money because we have turned all of you back into slave's when you were focussed on silly issues.
So when you get to the point of living day to day with no extra money to be taken out of equity and or credit cards are maxed just to survive because the price of fuel and food have skyrocketed because of fears over Mad Cow and Bird Flu (MODERATOR EDIT) and your medication is too expensive and then we get HIGH terror alert, will you be one of those that give this gov't the power to keep you protected at any cost? I think so. I think most will give away all of their rights and freedom's to keep the "insurgents" out of our country.
TIP: They're already here. And not all have brown skin. 150,000 Russian's living in Denver alone. Remember Russia? Remember Japan? Japan owns most resort land in CO. And other states. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
American gov't is out of control and the masses don't seem to have a clue. There are people from India, Iraq, and a whole lot of other countries here getting a free ride and does it bother anyone? Not really. Most are too busy running to work and soccer practice to take time for that. Making money to pay the IRS bullies.
It's past time for us to take our country back. The government works for the PEOPLE. Not the other way around. Get off your (MODERATOR EDIT) and take your country back! Preferably before it's too late. That might be next year.
Don't believe me, do your own research. It's all there in black and white. Depending on font color.
