Mexico deported 1,020 children in 2007!

    TRANSLATED FROM:
    http://www.laprensagrafica.com/dpt15/no ... 957144.asp

The authorities of the National Institute of Migration (INM) of Mexico repatriated during all 2007 from Tapachula, 1.020 under age Salvadorians, after they were abandoned by the smugglers and other persons under arrest during their trip to the United States.

The Salvadorian vice-consul in Tapachula, Chiapas, Vilma Mendoza Quiroz, reported yesterday that "with the five children that will be repatriated this Saturday, in total 1.020 children will be returned home in this year".

The five children —just like the 1.015 others— were mostly caught in migratory stations of Chiapas, Tabasco, Oaxaca and Veracruz, when they travelled as undocumented migrants through Mexico bound for the United States.

The consul detailed that with the repatriation of the last five children, the agency closes the repatriation of Salvadorian infants in 2007, for which the next repatriation will be until January 4, 2008.

Last year 1.500 children were repatriated from Mexico, what represents approximately a 5.8% of the total number of deportations in 2006, which were 25,632.

The General Office of Migration reported in the period from January to December, 11, 844 children deportees, a 5.6% of the total of repatriated people.

This sounds as though the kids were without parents MyAmerica.....the parents, or other relatives, most likely being the "other persons under arrest during their trip to the US"

Does this mean that Mexico is guilty of tearing families
apart by enforcing it's immigration laws?

I'm astounded! To do that would be downright hypocritical and hypocrisy is just sooo unlike the Mexican government

The scary part is wondering just what is done with these kids while they are awaiting deportation. Just whom is caring for them, where are they kept, what are the conditions, and how are they treated?

    How compassionate!
Illegal aliens remain exempt from American laws, while they DEMAND American rights...

I am wondering what happens to those poor little kids once they are back in Salvador.Doesn't sound like Mexico makes sure they are cared for,as we do.Sounds like they are just dumped back across the border.

Quick! Did someone call LaRaza, Mecha, Voz de Aztlan? How about Elvira A., the role model for illegals?

They'll save those kids and make the mexican government take care of them! After all, migrants rights are being violated, hmm?

I don't know about anyone else, but I am getting real sick and tired of the hypocrites south of the border!
