Don't listen to the lies people, please read:

You can still make a difference on amnesty vote this morn.........How to keep updated

    1. PROCEDURAL VOTE ON AG JOBS AMNESTY STILL PLANNED FOR 11:45 A.M. (EASTERN).

The vote is actually for "cloture" on the amendment to add the AgJobs amnesty to the Iraq supplemental spending bill.

We want a NO vote on cloture as well as a NO vote on AgJobs eventually.

If cloture passes (it needs 60 votes), the AgJobs amnesty will come to a vote after 30 more hours in which debate can continue. If that happens, we feel pretty certain that there are 51 votes to pass the amnesty at the end of the debate. So, we do NOT want cloture.

If there are fewer than 60 votes for cloture, there is a strong sense that the amendment will be withdrawn and we will have won.

    2. Faxing tonight breaks new records

Between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m. Monday, you all used the NumbersUSA website to send 7,206 faxes to Senators.

That was a new record for a 4-hour period. Thanks for your strong response to my request to keep their fax machines running all night tonight and all of later today.

    3. Follow the most up-to-date status of votes on immigration matters Tuesday by reading the NumbersUSA Home Page.

We will also be sending you some email updates. But we will first post vote results and other updates on the Home Page of www.NumbersUSA.com.

    4. Keep the phoning going this morning

You might want to stress this morning that:

    a. Most farmers don't want AgJobs. Unbelievably, 49 of 50 state Farm Bureaus is opposing AgJobs.

Only a minority of irresponsible, outlaw agri-businesses are pushing for this amnesty.

    b. Most legal farmworkers don't want AgJobs. Legal farmworkers (native and immigrant) are suffering from more than 11% official unemployment. The last thing they need is more competition from more foreign workers.

    c. American communities don't want the 3 million additional illegal farmworkers and their relatives who will be allowed to settle permanently and place strains on social services, infrastructure and schools.

    Get their phone numbers here:

You can read all about the AgJobs amnesty at:

    www.numbersusa.com/hottopic/AGJOBS.htm

Here are the main inaccuracies that you are reporting back to us as having heard from the supporters of Craig and his amnesty bill:

DECEPTION: AgJobs is not an amnesty that gives citizenship to illegal aliens.

TRUTH: AgJobs grants permanent residency to illegal aliens. Once an illegal alien gets that, they are on the path to claim U.S. citizenship as soon as they decide to go through the process.

DECEPTION: AgJobs would only involve 500,000 people.

TRUTH: Approximately 850,000 illegal aliens would qualify for the amnesty, and another estimated 2 million of their relatives would be either amnestied or brought in from outside the country. In all, AgJobs would add another 3 million people to this country's permanent population.

DECEPTION: AgJobs would allow illegal aliens to work legally for around 3 years, and then they would have to go back to their home countries.

TRUTH: That is actually a flat-out lie, but one that many of Sen. Craig's staff have tried to push repeatedly. That is actually a description of what Pres. Bush says that he would want to happen. But AgJobs would allow virtually all of the participating illegal aliens to stay in the U.S. forever.

DECEPTION: America's agricultural economy would not survive without the illegal aliens now working in it

TRUTH: (a) The unemployment rate for legal agriculture workers in this country is over 11%.
    (b) News reports on the West Coast are full of details of agri-business mechanizing and cutting their labor needs by as much as 90%. With fewer illegal aliens available, the mechanization would increase rapidly, leaving plenty of workers for crops that aren't easily mechanized.
    (c) We have an H-2A visa program for guest agricultural workers which has enough safeguards so that virtually all of the guest workers truly return home. If a grower loses his illegal workforce and can't find legal workers, he can apply to use the guestworker program.

By early afternoon, the Senate may also be voting on an amendment from Sen. Mikulski (D-MD) that would more than quadruple the number of seasonal workers imported into the country annually. Our experience with this program is that it not only takes jobs and wages from teenagers and young adults trying to get a foot on the first rung of the job ladder, but it results in an increase in illegal immigration.

Please also speak against her amendment when you call.

DECEPTION: The seasonal guestworker program for landscapers, resorts, etc. must be more than quadrupled to keep seasonal businesses from collapsing this summer.

TRUTH: (a) That same argument was made last year. When Congress refused to be blackmailed and refused additional visas, none of the industries collapsed, there wasn't an increase in bankruptcies and the businesses found ways to deal with their perceived worker shortage.
    (b) Many of these jobs are well-suited for teenagers who until last summer were experiencing their lowest rates of having jobs in history.
    (c) These jobs are best-suited for young, lower-educated, lower-skilled American men and women. They are abundantly available for these jobs since their unemployment rate is about twice that of the rest of American workers.
    (d) Some of the businesses that are crying the loudest for this increase are agricultural in nature and have access to the more stringent H-2A guest worker program. The reason they don't want to use it is that is requires them to pay their workers a higher rate.

    ================================================== ===

See that. Most farmworkers don't even want AgJobs. It's being pushed by a few extremists in the agribusiness that are the biggest violators of hiring illegals. Keeping phoning and faxing in. Don't let the extreme few push this crappy bill down our throats. Also this bill was crafted by a bunch of dirty filthy rat bum immigration laws, please read:

Just finished faxing - again......but Corzine & Lautenberg- NJ- are like that moron in NC. They simply don't give a damn and continue to ignore the people of this state. On the other hand, many of the people that did vote for Bush are so enamoured of him that they take great offense if one disagrees with his policy

Well, they better get used to it. And 2006 is just around the corner.

Make sure when you write to your senators and reps that you let them know that you won't be supporting anyone who even hints at giving amnesty to illegal immigrants. I make sure to tell mine that I will be donating money to any whose records have been firmly against amnesty as well as against these damn lopsided trade agreements that crush Americans.

To me this issue has nothing to do with party politics, It has to do with saving America for Americans.

    AgJobs bill unconstitutional

Senators Edward Kennedy and Larry Craig, and every Senator that voted in favor of this bill, took an oath to support and defend the Constitution for the United States and "provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States."

The only authority the federal government has, whether President or Congress, over these "illegal invaders" under the Constitution for the United States is removal to protect every state "against invasion." Congress nor the President have Constitutional authority to pardon or grant amnesty to citizens under the authority of a 'foreign power' -- the President can grant pardons for 'offenses against against the United States' under the Constitution for the States and the Citizens -- not 'foreign nationals."

The "rule of naturalization" and the guarantee to protect the states from invasion are exclusively retained by Congress and Congress cannot, without the consent of the States in the union, make laws to amend our Constitution to pardon and incorporate 'foreign nationals' and "illegal invaders" as lawful residence and future citizens of the states.

The problem is, the States lost their "equal suffrage in the Senate" with the 'unconstitutional' 17th Amendment which needs to be repealed.

And under the Constitution and the laws of United States, Senators Edward Kennedy and Larry Craig and their co-conspirators are guilty of treason and should be impeached and removed from OUR government.

Mamie, welcome! Tho I hate to reveal my ignorance to such a degree, I thank you for that post. I thank you VERY much, I'll use that information often. I think we ALL should...it's one heckuva good argument, isn't it?

How do we start impeachment/recall petitions against those who are committing treason in our government? We certainly need to, and send some in their place that will uphold our constitutional form of government.

    impeachment proceedings

How do we start impeachment proceedings?

I've been trying to get federal judges impeached and my Congressmen won't act.

The one thing everybody can do is try to get the 17th Amendment repealed and have the Senators appointed and accountable to the State. As is, we've got a bunch of lone rangers that don't look out for the interests of the States or it's citizens. I've emailed proposed legislation to to almost every state in the union, but so far no luck.

After I learned this AgJob bill was an amendment to a bill funding our troops I got REALLY ANGRY! I called and sent emails to my friends along with the 800 number for the Senate. When this one friend of mine called, they asked her how many signatures could she get, she told them 50 -- that was a minimum -- because her husbands and her cousins churches she could easily get 3 times that many.

I contacted our local news station and talked with the news editor about having a spot for what's going on on Capital Hill. He told me they generally leave that up to the national network, but said he would look into it and wanted to know if I would do an interview! I told him no, I'm a shy person, look horrible on camera and would stutter -- I told him he would defeat the purpose if I spoke...

The problem is these termites we have in our government, Congressmen, Judges, etc. are doing things that the people know nothing about. This bill got defeated when Senators changed their votes -- it was defeated I believe by 7 votes -- too close for comfort.
