Mexico's Visa dispute with Canada:
Mexico's Visa dispute with Canada:
Mexico retaliated against Canada for imposing new visa requirements on Mexicans, saying Canadian officials and diplomats would now need visas to enter Mexico.
Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa announced the move at the U.S. State Department in Washington, where she met Thursday with Canadian Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. She said Mexico would not force Canadian tourists to get visas. Canada began requiring visas from travelers from Mexico and the Czech Republic last week after determining the number of false refugee claims from those two countries was inordinately high.

Retaliate all you want to Mexico. No one wants your impoverished, uneducated citizens swarming into their country. Cant anyone in Mexico figure that out by now? Take responsibility for your own citizens.

Canada is very generous with asylum seekers but uses visa tracking and is strict with illegal aliens a recent census indicated only 60,000 in a population comparable to California which has over 2,000,000 illegal aliens. The Mexican government feels that the other two North American countries should have no restrictions on the right of Mexicans to live and work there.
One funny effect of the Mexican position on Canada's rejection of questionable asylum seekers is that they are saying that their own country is a place people should be fleeing from.I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
