MMP-America returning 2 Wild West @ Tombstone (Moscow)

    http://www.profindpages.com/news/2005/04/02/MN856.htm

What journalists in Moscow are saying about MMP, Bush, border patrol, cheap labor, oil, Bush's friends in Mexico ... interesting read.

Minuteman Project - America returning to the Wild West at Tombstone?
    (02.04.2005)

More than 400 volunteers arrived at Tombstone, Arizona to take part in the Minuteman Project to patrol the Mexican border for illegal immigrants and smugglers.

Organizers of the Minuteman Project had indicated earlier that some 1,000 would volunteer their help, but refused to say how many had actually registered. However, they did say that more would join later in the month.

The purpose of the project is to highlight the lack of control on the border, which allows many illegal immigrants to cross into the United States undetected. The volunteers have been instructed by the organizers to report any potential illegal immigrants to the proper authorities.

Unfortunately, many fear that the volunteers will contain "vigilantes" who will take the law into their own hands. The organizers have tried to assure the authorities that this will not happen, but this is a very difficult thing to guarantee.

There are reports that many of the volunteers are carrying guns and who knows what could happen in the heat of the moment? It is perhaps fair to assume that anyone agreeing to patrol an area in the Arizona Desert must feel strongly about the issue and such feelings could easily errupt into a violent confrontation.

George Bush has said that the "budget" will not allow for additional patrols in this area and the levels at the moment are insufficient to stem the flow. Of course this is a false saving, as the cost of supporting these immigrants once they are inside the country is a lot higher!

Many believe that Bush has some other reason for allowing the immigrants to flood the country and put an extra strain on resources. Some have said that the cheap labour helps some of the companies he "looks after" to obtain higher profits. But doesn't he have family members in Mexico as well?

As we have said before, Bush does not run the country, the businessmen behind the Bush administration do. We have already seen how certain businesses in America have been allowed to strip the country of its natural resources (at the expense of the environment) and the Bush administration make no attempt to stop this. In fact, they are actively helping these companies to achieve this by changing laws to make it legally possible.

Under the Bush administration, America seems to be returning to the Wild West days of just over 100 hundred years ago, where law either did not exist, or could be purchased by those who could afford it.

According to reports, more than 200 million American's have guns! (more than half the population) A figure that might have shocked even Doc Holliday, Wyatt Earp and his brothers, who also gained fame in Tombstone with their fight at the O.K. Corral.

How did America allow this situation to happen? How could America slip back into the Wild West days where a handful of very rich businessmen (the modern day version of "ranchers") be allowed to run the country and let the citizens carry guns to settle disputes themselves?

Maybe this is not so surprising, considering the President lives on a ranch (like most of his rich backers) and wears a cowboy hat!

But the hunt for "gold in them hills" has been replaced by oil, and the Red Indians are now Muslims in the Middle East. Same story, but with different players!

Of course, if America want to play Cowboys and Muslims on their own soil, that is up to them. But the world should get a little more serious about stopping the "ranchers" from expanding their territories to other countries. The rest of the world does not need a country that is prepared to kill for oil, murders disabled women by refusing them food and water for 13 days, allows its soldiers to walk free after killing wounded people (called "Mercy killings"), gives light sentences (sometimes none) when its military torture prisoners and see nothing wrong in giving more than half of its citizens guns!

This kind of "democracy" and "Freedom" we can live without.

But maybe America should consider something else about the Mexican border problem? If it is so easy for unarmed Mexican immigrants to enter the States, how difficult would it be for terrorists? George Bush claims to have made the country safer, yet there are thousands of areas along the borders with Mexico and Canada (and unguarded coastlines), that are just begging terrorists to enter. Unfortunately, the country's defence is being used in Iraq and Afghanistan, but then oil is more important to the "Ranchers" than the safety of the "Ranch hands"
"This country has lost control of its borders. And no country can sustain that kind of position." .... Ronald Reagan

The outsiders, especially Russia, know all too well what is going on in this country.

The elitists buy our congress and the Patriot Act destroys our freedoms.

Thank God for the second amendment. They haven't destroyed that YET!
