An Altura, Minn., man could be deported after pleading guilty Wednesday to disorderly conduct.

Edgar Rosales-Gonzalez, 18, was being held Wednesday afternoon in Winona County Jail after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials placed a hold on him. Immigration agents place holds on inmates they have probable cause are illegal immigrants or have violated terms of their temporary immigration status, according to an ICE spokesman.

Rosales-Gonzalez had been charged with felony terroristic threats for a Sept. 27 incident in Altura, but prosecutors amended the charge to misdemeanor disorderly conduct as part of a plead deal. Judge Nancy Bostrack sentenced him to credit for time served - Rosales-Gonzalez has been in jail since his Sept. 27 arrest.

Initial police reports said deputies were called at 2:10 a.m. Sept. 27 to Playoff's Bar in Altura for a disturbance. A man told deputies that a Rosales-Gonzalez had threatened him with a knife because he would not buy him alcohol. The man said he managed to run away from Rosales-Gonzalez and call police.

Deputies later found a kitchen knife with a purple handle on Rosales-Gonzalez. An ICE spokesman said he could no comment specifically on Rosales-Gonzalez.
