MN-House Passes E-Verify Amendment With Spending Bill
Minnesota Spending Bill Includes E-Verify Provisions

The Minnesota State House passed a $1 billion spending bill that includes an E-Verify amendment, mandating state contractors who will receive money through the bill to use E-Verify.
The amendment was offered by Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Delano) and was approved 107-to-25 before the bill's final approval.

Amendment would require right to work verification for bonding jobs
St. Paul, MN – Representative Tom Emmer (R-Delano) proposed an amendment to the bonding and debt bill Monday night that would require workers employed on bonding projects to prove they are legally allowed to work in the United States.
“This debt bill is about reckless spending and misplaced priorities, but if the Democratic leadership insists on its passage, the jobs it creates should be filled by people with the right to work in the United States,â€
