Pablo Sixto, 22, of Bank Street, was arrested Friday night for driving while intoxicated after he allegedly struck two parked vehicles in the area of Pearl and Seibel streets. He was also cited for reckless driving, careless driving, driving while unlicensed, driving an uninsured vehicle, failing to report an accident, leaving the scene of an accident and possessing open alcoholic beverage containers in a motor vehicle.

Sixto was released on his own recognizance after police notified Immigration and Customs Enforcement that he is in the country illegally.

Jose Ojeda, 51, of Broad Street, was arrested Friday night for driving while intoxicated after he was involved in an accident at Pearl and Myrtle streets. He was also cited for driving an uninsured vehicle and reckless driving.

Ojeda was released on his own recognizance after police notified Immigration and Customs Enforcement that he is in the country illegally.

Alfonso Mejia, 23, of Vine Street, was arrested Sunday for driving while intoxicated after two county sheriff's officers observed an accident involving two vehicles, including the one Mejia was driving, at West Avenue and Bowentown Road. The sheriff's officers detained Mejia, who reportedly attempted to flee the accident scene, until city police arrived.

Mejia was also cited for refusing to submit to blood-alcohol content testing. He was also charged with hindering apprehension and/or prosecution, was served three failure to appear warrants, and was lodged in the county jail in lieu of $2,133 bail.

Police notified Immigration and Customs Enforcement that Mejia is in the country illegally.
