    The Sheriff's Office is investigating allegations of racial profiling made against a deputy by residents of a north Bexar County neighborhood.

    Some residents of Timberwood Park, near Bulverde, claim that starting in July, Deputy Patrick Plate began targeting Hispanics, pulling them over on bogus traffic stops and calling U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement when they couldn't prove citizenship.

    Deputy Chief Dale Bennett said the deputy has been reassigned and the matter is under investigation. No disciplinary action has been taken against Plate. He did not respond to a message left Friday afternoon at a number listed in his name.

    calling ICE if they couldn't show a drivers' license

    so....why is that a problem....you are supposed to have a license if you are driving....no?????
