Illegal immigrant arrested on cocaine trafficking charges

LENOIR --
An illegal immigrant accused of cocaine trafficking was arrested during a drug raid spearheaded by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office’s Inner-county Counterdrug Enforcement Unit.

He is being held on more than $1 million secured bond.

Alfredo Arredondo Becerril, 28, was living in Lenoir when the ICE unit arrested him Friday.

Sheriff Alan C. Jones calls Becerril a “major cocaine distributor.
