Some immigrants interviewed by the Sun said they would return to their homeland as soon as they earned enough money for a one-way plane fare.
    One way is good.

But.....if illegal---how can they board a plane?????? Illegal documents too???????

Politics has been said to be the second oldest profession. I believe it bears a close resemblance to the first.

They can board a plane out of the country with either their foreign passport or their foreign drivers license, as long as neither are expired, from what I remember when I worked in the airline industry.

Ya know, I'm beginning to think a recession is a good thing!! Thousands will self-deport from lack of work, and if we can put the prison population to work FAST, then we might be able to get that big hunkin border wall up before the economy gets good again and they try flooding back!!!

Frankly, I think we need to stop most new construction anyway. If we can get our darn government to enforce the law and force out the illegals, we'll have plenty of empty homes for AMERICANS to move into! No need to keep building community after community hours outside of the city (as in Dallas).

I know me and my future hubby are planning to move to Plano in the next year or two, and we both laugh to remember how Plano used to be on the faaarrrr outskirts of Dallas when we went to high school in the early 1990's. Now the outlying towns have exploded so much due to the overwhelming number of new "immigrants" (e.g. mostly illegals) moving to the area, that Plano is now considered nearly the middle of Dallas!! We have friends that live in areas that are at least an hour away from Plano, which is a 2 hour drive from Downtown Dallas!! It's absolutely insane!! (Not to mention the traffic gets worse and worse every year. They can't build new roads fast enough.)

So, I'd like to see all the new construction stop, some of the illegal houses empty, and Americans move closer into town with the new openings. Yeah, it may leave some of those outlying towns kind of deserted, but we really don't need that kind of urban spread anyway!

Workers are reporting a stiff drop in salaries. Messrs. Alberto, Perez, and Ortiz, along with others interviewed, said they used to make between $100 and $120 a day. Now they are being offered — and usually take — between $50 and $60.

So....the supply and demand balance that was skewed by their coming here and drove down the wages for Americans has come back to bite them in the butt. Poetic justice.

That, at least, is the message from day laborers in New York City, where immigrants interviewed recently by The New York Sun said work has so slowed that they are planning to return home to Latin America — if they can save enough cash for the trip home.
This is the way to solve this crisis: cut off the illegal jobs, benefits, and they'll go home and hopefully pressure their own corrupt countries to reform. Another amnesty would only make the crisis worse!

More than a dozen immigrant day laborers interviewed by the Sun say work has sputtered to a near halt in the past few months, and that making ends meet is becoming a more difficult task. As jobs have dried up, the average daily wage has dropped to about $60 from about $120.
THOSE POOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. WHOA AS ME. BOO-HOO-HOO.
WHAT ABOUT AMERICANS AND LEGAL IMMIGRANTS TRYING TO MAKE ENDS MEET? They are the ONLY ones I care about.
