NASCAR radio network partners with Spanish language group
Motor Racing Network Radio has announced a partnership with Radiovisa, an around-the-clock Spanish-language radio network that produces and distributes syndicated and network programming, targeting Hispanics nationwide.

The partnership will offer complete coverage of five NASCAR events in predominately Hispanic markets, including the California 300 NASCAR Busch Series event and the Sony HD 500 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series event at California Speedway.

Additional coverage will include the Banquet 400 at Kansas Speedway, the Checker Auto Parts 500 at Phoenix International Raceway and the season-ending Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

In a prepared statement, Ray De La Garza, Radiovisa COO, lauds the Daytona Beach-based sports organization, saying, "NASCAR has made a vast effort over the past two years to increase Hispanic interest in their great sport."

The network does not currently have an affiliate station in Central Florida, but says it is actively seeking a relationship.

MRN Radio and Radiovisa will also produce daily radio programming covering the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series and the Chase for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Championship.

The 35-year-old Motor Racing Network is the primary source for NASCAR stock car racing and related radio programming. Its coverage of the NASCAR circuit is delivered via satellite to more than 700 radio stations nationwide plus the American Forces Radio Network.

Radiovisa produces and syndicates its own programming as well as CNN en Español Radio, and is the official Spanish-language radio network of CD Chivas USA.
