National Guard To Withdraw Half Of Its Forces Assisting U.S. Border Patrol

Washington, D.C. (AHN) - The National Guard will slash the number of troops stationed along the U.S.-Mexico border in half, according to a new deployment order.

The Pentagon will cut the number of soldiers assisting the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency from 6,000 to 3,000, following a surge put in place by President George Bush last year to help combat illegal immigration and the drug trade.

President Bush initiated "Operation Jump Start" which put a mostly volunteer force along the 2,000-mile-long border with Mexico. The troops helped take care of administrative duties, freeing up Border Protection agents to keep vigil and make arrests.

National Guard Bureau spokesman Army Maj. David Kolarik said that the deployment "was never meant to be a permanent solution."

"It was just an intermediate measure to provide support for border security efforts until they brought the additional resources and personnel in line that they needed," Major Kolarik said.

It is because baby Jorge did not get his way. I am pretty sure the number of ICE raids are going to go down too. There were so many raids for a while probably to get people to say "oh yes we should vote for amnesty because look our government is tough on illegal immigration". Too bad that did not work Jorge. We are too smart and angry for that.

It would not surprise me if they are even more lax that usual when it comes to illegal aliens. Jorge is a sore loser.

Anybody know who would be most effective to contact to protest this Pentagon decision (which undoubtably came down from the White House)?

While we're passing out blame, let's not forget Secretary Chertoff. He is Bush's advisor on issues regarding homeland security.

MW is right. The human skull ain't being part of the solution, he's 125% of the problem. Here's the breakdown.

Jorge BOOSH= 50% of the problem.
Congress 25%=of the problem.
Human skull=125% of the problem.

Well well, when you add up these numbers, it appears that our government is 200% of the problem. WHAT A SHOCKER THERE!

THE IRONY:

Just this morning I saw skeletor holding a press conference saying that the likelihood of another attack on our soil is HIGHLY POSSIBLE. Maybe shrubbery is so mad he figured he start the fear mongering again since we killed his amnesty.
