What is sad is that by the time they realize their position compromised the futures of their children as well as every American it will be too late. In my humble opinion the statement that we will move forward as a bi-lingual society is probably all too true. It really is ten years too late to stop the total infiltration, but perhaps the destruction to core values of our society can be mitigated. Too many people look to the individual stories that tug at the heart and do not see the bigger picture. Many only pay attention to the stories of the children but do not see the overall effect these entire families have on Americans and their way of life or standard of living. The emotional level of the debate has surpassed the rational and practical aspects in many peoples minds.

I, like many others can appreciate Mrs. Dickerson's concern for the
children in our country, and state. It is terribly wrong for the republican party to focus such hard-hearted tactics toward children and teenagers, irregardless of their situation. With such tactics, it's no wonder that we have tragedys like the Anthony and Baker cases.
