NC: Charlotte Police threatened by MS-13 gang
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have confirmed a report in a Spanish-language newspaper that authorities are concerned about possible retaliation by a Latino gang against law enforcement officials over the Oct. 12 shooting death of a man at a south Charlotte nightclub.
The Observer's news partner, WCNC-TV, said police Capt. Steve Wyllis of the Crime Intelligence Unit confirmed Friday that his department has sent a memo to other agencies, advising them that the report in the newspaper Mi Gente is accurate. The paper recently reported that members of the Salvadoran gang MS-13 (or Mara Salvatrucha) have threatened retaliation over the death of Salvadoran national Jose Hernandez Navarrete.
"There was some information, and we felt like the officers needed to be aware that traffic stops were going to be particularly an issue for them," Wyllis told WCNC. Hernandez Navarrete was killed during a shootout with two Mecklenburg County Alcoholic Beverage Control officers at the Sensations club, off Woodlawn Road. -- Steve Lyttle , WCNC

MS-13 was originally started in El Salvadore by teens who illegally arrived in the United States got involved with U.S. street gangs in L.A. In 1996 the federal government had them deported so they started MS-13 in El Salvador. Then when people came here illegally to work on farms they brought their teens with them who started the gang here in South Florida. Now we have off shots of MS-13 such as Sur XIII and others. The police get threats like that from gangs quite often. The gangs are well armed and often break into police cars or police officer homes to steal guns, bullet proof vests, police radios and guns. ICE spends a great deal of time along with other law enforcement agencies to catch these gang members and deport them. If our borders had been secured a long long time ago we would not have this and other problems with illegals today.

They should deport the illegals members for starters and alot of gang problems will disappear. Some come back and should be arrested and not released if they reappear.
