This will bite him in the A$$ when an IA previously in custody kills some-one. If that some-one is an American citizen the family should sue his A$$ into permanent poverty!

Accepting a Mexican ID would enable a police officer to write a ticket and release illegal residents. This eliminates the possibility of briefly detaining them and sending their finger prints to the FBI and ICE, for a basic warrant check.

Their fingerprints SHOULD be sent to the FBI and ICE in order to protect American citizens from foreign criminals. Even with the ID, there is no certainty that the person named on the card is, in fact, the person presenting it.

This ID, issued by the Mexican government, is one of the most secure and sophisticated forms of ID around the world.

Now this is an out and out lie. The cards are not issued in Mexico, they are issued in the U.S. at Mexican counselates. They do not request any proof of identity, but simply pass out the cards to anyone who asks. The only thing this card proves is that the holder is in the U.S. illegally. A legal immigrant would have a green card or visa.

Here's the email addresses without the "mail to". Copy all of them and send them all, a request to oppose this. If you don't live there, you can threathen to never visit or vacation there. Tell them to get another Cheif of police, since he accepts this card, as an ID.
