Latino advocacy group releases legislative agenda
Tuesday, Mar 27, 2007 - 12:28 PM
Associated Press
(AP) - The Latino advocacy group El Pueblo says it wants the General Assembly to create English-language instruction in immigrant communities.
The group also wants state lawmakers to oppose efforts to get local and state police involved in enforcing federal immigration laws.
El Pueblo's 2007-2008 legislative agenda also supports more money for education, a stronger migrant housing law, and closure to what it calls "loopholes" in North Carolina's pesticide law.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
