Informant's Tape Led To Dec. 5 Omaha Immigration Raid

OMAHA, Neb. -- The personnel director of an Omaha company has been indicted in connection with events leading to a federal immigration raid of the company last month.

Thirty people were arrested on suspicion of being illegal immigrants during the Dec. 5 raid of Plasterglas Inc.

Now, 45-year-old Donna Lake is facing up to 10 years in prison after federal agents allegedly recorded a suspicious conversation between her and an illegal immigrant who worked at the company.

During the taped conversation, the worker allegedly asked Lake to change his work identity for the second time.

The government is now accusing Lake of inducing an illegal immigrant to enter or reside in the country in reckless disregard for the law. She could also be fined $250,000.

A hearing is scheduled on Friday.

And what happened to this informant? Amnesty?

She should serve her sentence and then be stripped of her citizenship. Ship her off to Mexico.

How's this for a better idea, ship her butt off to China. Everyone knows those deported to Mexico return within 30 days.
