The New York Times, which is partly owned by pro-amnesty Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim, urged President Barack Obama to act quickly and broadly on executive amnesty, declaring that his executive amnesty will be deemed more successful by how outraged Republicans opposed to amnesty get.

"Our view on executive action is: the sooner the better, and the bigger the better, because so many have been waiting so long for the unjust immigration system to be repaired, while vast resources have been wasted on deporting needed workers and breaking up families instead of pursuing violent criminals and other security threats," the Times wrote in a Friday editorial.

The Times declared that the "value" of Obama's forthcoming executive amnesty "can easily be measured by the ferocity of the Republican opposition it has already provoked."

The paper also accuses Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) of having it "backwards" for demanding that Congress use its power of the purse to prevent Obama from rewriting the country's immigration laws that the Times even concedes the president has no authority to write.

Obama reportedly will unilaterally grant executive amnesty and work permits to five million illegal immigrants, including to the parents of DREAMers, before the end of the year. Obama continued to not back down on Friday during a press conference in Burma. Obama said executive amnesty is "going to happen" despite his party's shellacking in the midterms.
